Meet the Founders
Mr. Bru
John “Mr. Bru” Bruchhagen is the Founder and Managing Partner of Infinity - The Math Institute. He is a former middle school, high school, and STEM teacher who earned the highest GPA in the history of UNLV’s Secondary Education Mathematics program.
During his teaching career, Mr. Bru produced exceptional student growth in math proficiency, with students making major gains after just one year of instruction. His approach is built on clarity, structure, high expectations, and the belief that math does not have to be confusing or intimidating.
Mr. Bru created Infinity - The Math Institute to prove that students can do more than survive math. They can understand it, enjoy it, and excel at it. Known by his students as Mr. Bru, he makes math clear, logical, structured, and fun while giving students the foundation they need for long-term success.
Adri
Adriana “Adri” Bruchhagen is a Cofounder of Infinity - The Math Institute and one of the most important voices behind the organization’s growth, communication, and family support. Originally from Bolivia, Adriana brings a strong international perspective, a deep understanding of people, and a natural ability to connect with families from many different backgrounds.
With a master’s degree in business and marketing, Adriana helps guide the professional side of Infinity while making sure families feel heard, supported, and understood. Parents and students alike trust her because she is warm, organized, practical, and honest. She has a gift for helping people feel comfortable, answering questions clearly, and guiding families toward the option that fits them best.
Adriana represents the heart of Infinity’s family support. She helps make sure Infinity - The Math Institute is not just a math program, but a place where students and parents feel welcomed, encouraged, and cared for.
What We Believe
Infinity - The Math Institute was built on the belief that math should be taught clearly, logically, and with purpose. Students do not need more confusion, shortcuts, or random worksheets. They need strong instruction, real understanding, and a foundation they can build on for life.
Math Is Counting and Quantifying
At its foundation, math is not magic or mystery. Math is counting, quantifying, comparing, measuring, and organizing information. When students understand what the numbers actually mean, math starts to make sense.

Students should not have to guess what a teacher means. Math should be explained step by step, with clear vocabulary, correct notation, strong examples, and enough practice for students to truly understand what they are doing.
